Saiga Build Help please

Ok so I was convinced to build a Saiga 7.62x39 and converting it myself rather then buying one pre-done . The look I am goin for is traditional AK-47 with slant muzzle break. Is this possible? Iv got a parts list goin here it is.
Tapco
-Slant break
-G2 trigger set

Iron Wood
- AKM full set ( Pistol grip, Butt stock, and front grips)

dinzagarms
-Bullet Guide Round/Flat Trunnion
-AK FCG Retaining Plate

K-Var Corp.
-GAS TUBE ~ (BULGARIAN) w/ Vent Holes
-GAS CHAMBER ~ "BULGARIAN", 90-degree, with bayonet/accessory lug
(will it fit with cleaning rod?)
-FRONT SIGHT BLOCK, BULGARIAN (Retainer Pin Holes .75" Apart. Internal Diameter .590")
- Cleaning Rod (Do I need to do anything special to get it on?)
-Retainer ring for lower handguard, standard, Russian

Rivets, bolts,screws, and Pins too.

Am I missing anything? Will these parts fit on a Saiga 7.62x39? Will this all give me the look im goin for?What do you guys think?

I'd get the slant brake from Dinzag as well and then rent his thread die to mount it.

Your going to have to cut back the barrel shroud portion of you front sight block so you can access the barrel to thread it for the brake. That's going to be fun! And you need to make sure you don't cut into the barrel. I don't believe that you want to cut it back all the way though, as the brake doesn't go on that far. I'd get it from Dinzag and then you can pick his brain about the installation. He's been very helpful to me in the past.

Dinzag makes a break that will mount right over the end of the Saiga front sight. I'm not sure I'd go that way, but it's definately worth considering

I never played around with the fore stock on mine, so I can't help you with that one.

You might as well pick up a cotton webbing mil. surp sling while your at it.

I think he only sells the 74 model break but the sling is a must.

A lot has changed with recent Saiga imports.

A lot (I'd like to say "all", but can't be sure) have been found to have dimples and 14x1LH threaded barrels under their neutered 24mm FSBs.

November gun show is when I'm gunna try and get me one with a dimples and threaded barrel(fingers crossed)

I am 99 percent sure that I have one with the dimples and threaded barrel. What is the implication if thats the case? I was kinda pissed that my front sight leans a tad to the left, and I was looking into trying to turn it more upright, when I noticed it looks to be held on with 4 dimples and maybe two pins at the bottom. If they are pins, the holes are one sided and dont go all the way though to the other side.

I have not even fired it yet, and I was not thinking about converting it, I intend to put an ultimak and a primary arms optic on it, and call it a day.

I have a Maadi so, I dont feel the need to convert it.

The implications of a threaded barrel are: If you choose to de-neuter your Saiga, you won't have to rent a threading tool to thread your barrel.
The implications of dimples are: You can lord it up over your friends with non-dimpled (but no less functional) Saigas. The dimples are only there to strengthen the receiver (non-dimpled Saigas use the RPK method for receiver strengthening [two steel plates]).

Your FSB is hydrulically stamped in place (these are the dimples in the side). The "two pins on the bottom" are not pins, but the place where you (or the factory) would drill for pins.

I recommend the Arsenal 2-stage group instead of the Tapco. I wasn't happy with my Tapco. It's too much of a hair trigger and can bump fire unintentionally during slow target pulls.

I recommend the Arsenal 2-stage group instead of the Tapco. I wasn't happy with my Tapco. It's too much of a hair trigger and can bump fire unintentionally during slow target pulls.

+1 to that. I really like the TAPCO trigger but it bump fires accidentally very easily. I switched to arsenal FCGs in mine which have a much longer and harder pull and it makes target shooting a lot better.

Also I tend to jerk the trigger with the tapco, the arsenal makes me fire a lot more carefully. All a matter of preference but I am very happy with them overall now.

THe Arsenal trigger requires special installation if you don't want trigger slap.

The Texas AK Triggers FCG requires no special treatment and beats the Tapco G2 6 ways from Sunday.

I haven't felt the need to mess around with the FSB and muzzle of my S308.
I like my muzzle-flash toasty.

I used a Tapco G2 TG, Kvar OD green NATO butt, Tapco piston and SAW grip, AKM tube, unfinished wood AKM fore-grips i sanded and stained, with a bolt-on retainer from Dinzag.

It was a fun and project. I'd recommend a Dremel too, if you don't already have one. Have fun.
