My photo attempt failed because of size limits and I am too big a idiot to figure it out. Picture in your head the piston connected to the bolt carrier. The shiny part is not in perfect line with the rest of the assembly (the black part). It is noticable and maybe equals a few millimeters. I have not shot this thing yet. Any ideas if I should send
it back or take it to my local gunsmith or just go for it. Vice or hammer?
Thanks.

you mean the piston is bent to one side, or it won't screw all the way into the bolt carrier?

If it's bent to the side, it might be a problem, but I dunno, they're tough rifles.

If it's just not totally screwed in, loctite it in there. mine unscrews a tiny bit when I shoot it with no adverse effects.

It is fastened to the bolt carrier in a way that they are not lined up and it is angled of to the side.

That's fairly common for the WASRs, and it's the reason for the 'hiccup' in the cycling of the action when returning to battery. You can grind the junction smooth if it's really bothersome, but it usually causes no functional issues. Don't bend or beat on anything.

Jim_100 send me the picture to [email protected] and i will post it here for you.

I took the weapon out and it shot great. Both 30 round magazines flowed perfectly. Very decent accuracy at 100 yards. I guess I was just paronoid. Thanks for the replies.
