If I had ill-intent...if I was a hardened criminal, a sociopath.....had designs on establishing an oligarchy or a totalitarian regeime...I would support this woman 100%. I would think Hitler, Stalin and his ilk would have completely embraced her ideas. If you have any designs on taking advantage of another and dominating through the use of force......her plans would be very appealing ! Can she be so dumb as to miss this entiely...or is there really something going on here behind the scenes ? I can't help but don my "tin foil cap" and wonder if these folks don't have some very evil ulterior motive. Are they really that clueless ?? !!
I think pointing out the Rwandan genocide and the fact that it was accomplished primarily with machetes drives home the real issue....it's all really about intent...isn't it ? I mean, while the loss of life might not have been as great in the recent Trolley Square incident if he didn't have a gun, the accused could have easily smacked several people in the head with a cast iron frying pan with deadly results before he was subdued. So whats next after banning the right to own arms....do we make it mandatory for all citizens to receive a daily injection to regulate brain chemistry so a "cast iron frying pan incident" never occurs ?
It's also all about CONTROL....these people want to control others so they can attain some perceived piece of mind. What makes it so dangerous is that they want to limit everyones freedom and right to self protection so they can "relax". It's all very LAZY ! It comes in the guise of wanting to "take care" of others...but it's really VERY selfish. It's an attempt to shrug off personal responsibility too. These folks, of course, would have aided and abetted the British during our nations struggle for independence....they surely would have collaborated with the British in an attempt to prevent any violence and bloodshed. These are the types of people that are indirectly responsible for keeping others in "bondage" throughout history. They are basically just tyrants themselves. Very scary !
I think those countries that have severely limited the right to self protection will very much come to regret it in the near future . As radical movements thought the world begin to visit these nations with acts of terrorism and random violence, and as local populations that support these kinds of activity begin to swell, there will be a cry to re-examine the present policies. Until then, I predict that that their citizenry will continue to blindly support individual disarmament. Of course, if historically the citizenry have always had their "right to bear arms" limited by a monarchy, it becomes second nature for succeeding generations to "roll over" and submit.
