I would like to thank JohnBT for his timely advice on bolt removal and buffer replacement on Winchester super x model 1.My buffer in both mine were gone but luckily no damage to receiver.It takes more than a love tap to insert buffers but it worked and both seem to be fine.I guess when you shoot it the first time it realy finishes seating them.Many thanks again.Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

That's great.
I'm surprised my directions worked - I usually leave out an important step or two. You know how it is when you can do something out of pure habit and then somebody asks, "Explain that to me one step at a time."
