As you know we suffered a huge defeat in New York.

During our work with the legislature. We were assured by assemblyman Dan Losquadro that he is an avid shooter, supporter of the second amendment, and was against the ban. Only hours after making this statement he betrayed the firearm community and voted for the law to pass.

Dan now has an election coming up in less than 45 days. Although I do not support his opponent and it is only a local race. I need your help to bring this election to a national scale so we can send a clear message to our politicians that we will not support you if you decide to infringe on our rights.

I need your help to post on Dan's reelection campaign (His campaign motto is on Honesty, believe it or not) and post your dissatisfaction with his recent actions in New York

I want to thank everyone for their help, we have made huge progress and confronted Dan at his Campaign Rally last saturday. What a great way to spend Gun Awareness day. We debated with him for an hour, all on video. Here is a synopsis of what went on

There was a very long debate (over an hour) covering many things. He basically justified voting for the bill for things like Kendra's law, raising criminal penalties, protection of gun owners addresses from being published,etc....because those things would never have passed if it wasn't attached to the gun ban. He reminded us that he was A rated from the NRA. Which we said, not anymore!

Dan said we can't be like environmentalist and say NO to everything. We did get his comments on what he thinks of the constitution, which Dan seems knowledgable on, but is lacking the principles to enforce them. We spoke at length of the consequences of this law.

We spoke about the importance of high capacity, how our children and grandchildren will be affected by the law and that after our generation, we have sacrificed their ability to protect their family in the future. How the founding fathers had access to higher capacity rifles than New Yorkers do today. Dan was surprised to learn about the high capacity rifle Lewis and Clark used during their commissioned exploration of the United States by Thomas Jefferson.

We talked about tyranny and defending our families. Our own experiences of a home invasion. Which he claims he once had to defend his family. But we asked him with that said, you voted for the law anyway?

We spoke about hunting and he agrees that with a well placed shot with a high powered rifle that a deer can still run the length of a football field. We used that analogy on how someone who is trying to come after your family could do the same thing if not worse because there is no such thing as stopping power with a handgun and with your adrenaline pumping at close range you could miss the vitals to stop the bad guy. I reminded him there are countless stories of police officers shooting criminals 40-50 times or more and the bad guy still didn't stop.

We also spoke about progressivism and how this bill contributes to their cause. Spoke about how if we can't rely on conservative republicans that speak about being Pro 2a but vote differently, who can we rely on!?!?

We also let him now that we felt betrayed. We would expect this from Democrats but having people on our own side do this, was even more devastating! We spoke how Frank Seabrook said Dan was one of the rising stars among local conservatives before he voted for this ban. We wished he was speaking with us at Albany with Greg Ball and made Him our hero. Instead we want to vote you out!

Dan spoke how after sandy hook occurred the media had so much power to sway public opinion, that it made it impossible to fight it. We spoke how there is so much information on how guns saved lives in America, much much more than the crime they committ. Dan was aware of the stories that the NRA puts out of people defending themselves. But he does not have the money to get that information out to the public. We reminded him that he is in the public eye and represents us and that he should show the statistics of lives saved, or explain that 22 school children was stabbed in China where guns are banned, during the same time that the sandy hook tragedy took place. Dan was aware that these school stabbing's in other countries happen often.

After speaking with some of his volunteers, they where not aware that he voted for this law.

Lets hit them where it hurt

Most of his supporters are not aware of his vote for the recent weapons ban in NY, the few we talked to are upset. Dan has justified breaking the constitution so we can have stronger Mental Health laws, stiffer penalties for criminals,etc...

Please call, email, or post on their facebook page. On how Dan reneged on his commitment to protect the constitution. Especially during difficult, trying times that our country is facing. Many Republican are breaking the principles that won them the election in the first place. The upcoming March 5th election should be a stand that we are no longer going to put up with politicians ignoring their constituents.

Just an update. Many Members of Long Island Firearms and Conservative Society for Action have been holding Dan Losquadro responsible for his actions. There was a protest rally last Thursday night that the media failed to report on. With many people holding "we will not comply" signs. Many members were also inside the building where the Dan Losquadro vs Kathy Walsh debate was taking place. Dan Losquadro and the moderator avoided the questions from these two groups so it got a little rowdy inside.

Regardless of pressure from the mainstream media he should uphold the Constitutional Oath he took. Sounds like he needs to figure out what side he's on (even though yes, he's already demonstrated that with his vote). Would be easier to get his support than to unseat him sounds like.
