Weapons of Our Enemies

It's part of our RKBA and our heritage that we can have war souvenirs.

Unfortunately Uncle Sam really curtailed that during the Vietnam War. We weren't allowed to bring back any kind of firearms with us as we left Iraq in 1991. And the guys that served in A-Stan were only allowed to bring back gun if they were considered antiques by the ATF.

When I was clearing bunkers after the cease fire in 1991 I found bunkers full of AK's and pistols. One bunker had crates upon crates of brand new/unissued Hungarian FEG Hi Power pistols. We had to destroy every last one of them.

My "Bringback Collection" of WW2 German handguns. The Luger came right from Germany in 1945 with one of my late Uncles and I purchased the P-38 from a friend of mine who got it years ago from the son of the guy who brought it home after WW2. When that war ended I wonder how many thousands of guns came home with the G.I.'s ? Had to be a staggering number. A few came home from Vietnam here & there and sadly, it seems that Uncle Sam has outlawed the practice entirely for today's G.I.'s. That's terrible. If it's a legal gun to own in America, then our guys are entitled to a war trophy or two. Just go back to the old capture papers system that was used in the past. .. IMG_9178.JPG ..
