Just zeroed the Wby Vanguard Wilderness 240 Mag. I set it up for a 300 yard zero.
It is a real easy and soft shooting rifle. I was surprised. It generates close to .308 Win energy at the muzzle. Now this one is ready for hunting. I mounted a MeoPro 3.5-10x44 on it. Perfect.

Now I am waiting for a new Leupold VX Freedom 4-12 for the 300 Wby Mag.

What ammo/bullet did you use?

With a 300 yd. zero how high is it at 100 and 200??

I do like my .240, I don't like the brass? Are you going to reload it? I could use some empty brass...

I have a Leupold 3.5 x 10 on mine, and it's been a great scope.

Using Wby ammo. 100 gn Hornady Interlock.
About 3 inches high at 100 yds and 3.5 at 200 according to Strelok.
I reload. I don’t have dies for this round this and only have 10 cases.

My .240 was put together for me by PO Ackley, on a LH 700 Rem. action, I really enjoyed my time visiting with him.

It really does shoot good, and has put quite a bit of meat in my freezer for me. For bullets, I prefer 100NP's as they hold together well and give good penetration...

Thanks for answering, DM

24" barrel? How much velocity are you getting with that combo?
When Ackley built mine, I requested he keep the bbl. at 26" and he did. I had mostly intended my .240 to be a "truck" gun, but I ended up carrying it on many hunts too...

I had not shot it in many years, then some years back I was having trouble with my shoulder, recoil was really bothering it so I dug out the .240.

I cleaned it up and started putting meat in my freezer with it again, and I still am...

Ya gotta love those 100NP's, they really work in a .240 Wby.!!

CDS with plex. One inch tube. Nice glass. Great eye relief which is a concern on 300 Wby. Rifle weighs 8 lbs 3 oz and has a Accubrake.

I have a Leupold 3.5 x 10 on mine, I bought a 3.5 x 10 Zeiss to replace the Leupold, but instead I resurrected a different rifle to start hunting with, and put the Zeiss on that one.

The .240 does a good job, IF you use good bullets and do a some decent shooting!

My nephew hunted with me and took his first buck with it,
