hello been looking at midway for some 257 ammo.Just curious how the Nosler custom would be compared to the Weatherby ammo? I know both use Partition just curious if the Noslers would be loaded as hot as the Weatherby.
Always heard Norma loaded hotter than US manufacturers

Midway lists the velocity of each load.

Just look at the velocity for the same weight bullet and that will tell you if they're comparable. It's not that hard to find this information...

The velocity is listed on the "product information" tab under the picture of the ammo.

it appears that weatherby loads their ammo 1-200 fps faster.

See the attached pics from the Midway site.

the roy puts out enough velocity, regardless of who loads it. suggest you buy a box from as many different manufacturers as you can, and then go w/ the most accurate loading. you won't know true velocity unless you chronograph it anyway, and by my experience, most manufacturers are very optimistic over their numbers. only exception i have found thus far is hornady - they run very close to advertised velocity.

i don't own a roy chambering, so have no idea on who actually runs what they claim...

Buffalo Bore actually makes it a practice to underestimate their velocities, which are impressive to start with...of course they don't have any loads for Mr. Weatherby.
