Weatherby scope mount

i am looking for a picatinny/weaver rail (dont know the difference) for a weatherby mark v magnum action. I have seen that some companies scope mounts for the rem 700 LA and mark v are identical, does that hold true to all companies? or is it a case by case thing?

dont know a whole lot about mounting scopes, but have one that is smaller between the bells and does not want to fit in the mounts i have now.
