I have a Weaver T36 target scope. It refuses to hold a zero so this morning I called them about having it repaired. Since I do not have the receipt all they would do is offer to replace it at wholesale cost $350!! This is only $50 less than retail.

I ended up making a quick call to www.ironsight.com and after telling them what happened they said they will repair it for $75.

I don't think they have repaired scopes since they were really making Weaver scopes.

I tried to get them to fix a steel K-4 several years ago and they gave me the address of some scope repair place in Florida maybe?

Told me they didn't work on real "Weaver" Weaver scopes any longer then.

Meade, which someone pointed out bought Weaver, is in deep, deep financial trouble.

I wouldn't touch them at all right now.

I feel your pain. I can say from personal experience that Redfield optics will not honor the "lifetime warranty" either. They want the name brand recognition that real men who built the company earned but after buying the business out they turn their back on any form of customer service.
If this is the way that businesses are now being run, I have no hope for anyone else getting satification for their problems.

What a shame that such a great company has fallen so low. I remember years ago my dad's Weaver V-8 fogged up and he sent it back. The only cost to him was the shipping to them. It still works great. Kind of like the J.C. Penny battery "the last battery you will ever have to buy for your car", and then they quit selling automotive. Lifetime warranties are only good as long as the original company stays in business. Lets hope this never happens to Dillon.

Weaver is no longer the Weaver it was, neither are a number of others, as Mead owns several brands now. Last I checked Burris has the Fullfield II made in the Philippines.
Then we hear that the family owned Oregon optics company is over priced. Sometimes cheaper isn't less in the long run.
