Weaver optic mount

Greetings,

How good is that mount? Is it efficient? Does it keep it's zero?

Would it fit on any handgun with accessory rails like XD 45, Taurus 24/7, Steyr M9A1?

Anyone got a better one that would work or work better?

I wouldn't even care to guess.

But if I was guessing, and NecStar made it, I would guess it's a piece of crap.

On the otherhand, it's only 13 bucks, so it wouldn't cost much to find out.

You could always saw the rail off and bolt it too a shotgun or something for a light mount.

It is why I asked if someone else was making one. I saw on page 123 of Guns and ammo Combat Tactics Summer 2008 a SIG225 with one looking like that but witth 3 screws.
