Was considering a CVA scout 44mag as an economical way to have a rifle to play around with.

They seem to come with two options... what they call a 'weaver rail' which looks like a typical rail you'd mount accessories to. But also can get with "Durasight Dead-on scope" mount, which is a one piece mount and scope rings that bolts directly to the rifle.

I have no intention of going tactical crazy - just plan to get a basic scope (it's 100yd gun). There are no iron sights in either case.

Any pros and cons a beginner might not think of? I guess I'd lean towards the one piece scope mount unless there was a decent reason not to.

That is a glowing review, if I've ever heard one! lol, it's always nice to be able to try different options, so I appreciate the offer. If I do get the CVA I'll PM you. They suddenly started disappearing from inventory in the best price places today when I'm finally getting closer to committing. Do most scopes come with hardware to mount to the weaver rail or is that additional stuff to buy?
