Weaver USA K & V series scopes

I've got an older US built Weaver K4 on one of my .22's and like it alot. I'd like to scope a couple more of my rifles, but hate the idea of spending a couple hundread bucks a shot for "decent" glass. I've never owned a Leupold, but would be interested in how guys who have had and used both would compare the 2 for optical clarity, toughness & overall quality.

I have owned both and see little difference. The leupold is a 2-7 rimfire and the weaver was a 4-16...not the same exact league but really no different
