I just broke the stirrup top latch V spring that returns the latch. It is on the right out side of frame near the strirup. It is a weird little V spring with a tiny tit extension that holds it in place. The free end of the V snapped on my 1919 Mk VI when I opened it today. Any body suggest a current source for wobley springs?

This is a common problem on Webleys. Their heat treatment wasn't such as to let them endure the years well. I think the springs were a little brittle.

I also had a mainspring break. And a firing pin. Keep in mind that the gun was over 40 years old, and I did a lot of dry firing with it.

But I do think the metalllurgy was better on S&W and Colt arms of that period.

Thank you so much for your help! I ordered a latch spring, a main spring and a Ruger rear sight I hadn't got around to. Thanks:)
