I can take a revolver and a auto both at 26oz put in same amount of ammo. Then when I carry them the revolver feels like it weighs a lot less.

Is this because the revolver rounds are at the beltline and the auto is above the beltline? I know the weight is almost the same but when just picking the guns up the revolver still feels lighter. Is it just me or have others noticed this also.

Forgive me if this is a stupid question but... Doesn't the auto have more rounds in it?

Nvm I see where you said same amount of rounds. Other than the balance being off I have never noticed a difference. A lot of autos seem front heavy unless fully loaded which is most likely the only noticeable difference.

Part of the reason is the center of balance as you pointed out. Another part of it is just the shape of the revolver. it's more rounded and with less straight edges and unbroken lines. This bot let's it conceal under moth closing more easily, but also helps it conform to the body more closely and naturally. This is a second reason small revolvers generally carry more easily than autos. That's "Generally" - different guns have different qualities, and so do human bodies.
