Folks that go to airports to welcome troops from Iraq and Afghanistan who are coming in on R&R leave. DFW has a program . . . Atlanta and BWI are two other airports recieving these flights that do not (citing security concerns).

Take a look at this video and website . . .

Click on this link, and watch the ABC Person of the week video on Bert Brady and the Welcome home a hero program.

The "Welcome Home a Hero" web site at dfw airport.

Makes me want to burn frequent flyer miles just to get to DFW and participate! If you're in Atlanta or Baltimore/Washington and this stirs your interest, please get to work in shaming your airport officials into doing what DFW has done!

thankyou for the update. I agree we need to uplift our troops anyway we can. I was privilaged to be at the Atlanta air port awhile back and when the soldiers came through the crowd gave them a standing ovation. It was great. take care.
