After being crammed on a 5' long Harbor Freight workbench it was time for things to change. I was very frustrated with the lack of space to spread out and work, no place to really work on my rifles and the constant mess that my reloading bench was so I embarked on a mission to build a new one!

Thought I would share it with you folks:

Let me know what you think!

Looks good. You do know that work benches always end up being to small in the long run. We most have a tendency to use what ever space is available to us. Keeping one clean is a constant battle in my shop.

I'm working on a new one. I bought a 12x24 building to use for my reloading ventures, and am trying to finish the wiring and such. The plan is to set up a bench on the porch of it to do load work ups on.Maybe I'll finish this winter....

I can only dream of something like that. My ' bench ' is 28" wide.

Yes , twenty-eight inches. I have other storage, but only 28" on which to reload.

I couldn't tolerate it any longer I spent half my time cleaning up after myself to make room for the next step!

Dang. Beautiful! Well done and well planned out with lots of storage space and shelving. Now go load something!!! :)

Loaded my first batch of 6.5 Creedmor last night and prepped some .308 brass for that loading hopefully tonight! If this damn job didn't get in the way :)

@TheDomFather I'm so so so so jealous. I'm planning my new bench and was going to make something pretty basic. You've now made me totally want to reconsider things. Unfortunately I'm not at a place where I could make one so nice. So

PHTTTTT TO YOU

now that I've said that...

on a serious note, that is one beautiful setup. You've done an amazing job. I hope you get many many years of use out of it and hope that you can keep it that clean, organized and nice.

Hokie, Take your time and plan it out well. Think about what you want to do and where you want to do it. I tried to think about my process and how to setup a bench that would support my process. I should have showed a broader shot. This is built in my garage. When I built this house I built a 1.5 car garage. The extra space was initially there so I had a place to put the lawnmower, kids bikes etc... Kids are now grown and I smartened up and got a landscaper to cut the grass so it left the perfect space to have a place to reload. I used every inch of it!

I’m not sure what I want and need.
Well except I want a real nice top surface. Otherwise, I’m thinking an 8’ long bench at a comfortable height. I’ll also make sure to have good lighting.

It won’t be anything like yours but that’s ok. Maybe one day!
