Well I shot my Chrony

You can add me to the list of dopes that shot their chronograph - second time out shot it with my 460 mag with a full house 335 cast slug at 1775 F/S. Just hit the upper left of the chrony. Was enough to take it out though. Wished it was a dead center hit - it would have been much more exciting. It was sitting on a tripod and the whole thing just rolled over and hit the ground. I wasn't using a rest or sandbag and found that I was pulling the gun down and left as I pulled the trigger. Live and learn - only cost $60 to replace (the readout is on the bench - a nice feature). The Chrony people are nice to deal with!

It sounds like I am not alone. I was told there are two kinds of Chrony's. One that has been shot and one that hasn't been used enough.:D

If you havent shot yours...You havent used it enough.

Go ahead with the "I cant understand how you could shoot a chrony"....

Wheres Todd Jarrett when I need him. I know he has to of shot one too.

I guess i'll have to break down and buy a Chrony so that I can shoot it as I feel left behind!!! BTW does the spare tire on your Jeep count in any way? No it could not be patched.

Would be kinda funny if it sent a reading to a printer of the vel of the shot that destroyed it - could frame up the receipt and broken unit - answers the question, "what caliber for a chrony?"
