My Gunvault long gunvault broke two days ago. I thought it was the batteries so, I just got around to changing them tonight and it still didn't work. I took one of the inside panels off to see what was up and it turns out the cable that goes from the electric motor to the lock mechanism broke. It will still open by it's key but, that's unfeasable when it is dark and in the middle of the night. My G19 is my CCW that I also keep in a pistol sized gunvault that will be assuming HD duties until I can get the Long gunvault fixed or replaced. I took the M3 off of the shot gun and put it on the G19 along with a 17 round G17 magazine. I have a 15 month old daughter and even though I know she can't reach the 870 in the top of my closet, I don't want to get into the habit of leaving guns especially loaded ones unsecured around the house. I hope they will warranty it.
