Imagine if DC was already such an 'Utopian area' that the guards didn't have or need guns.
(They don't need them in a gun free zone right?)
We may of seen multiple people shoot.

But as usual , the politicians and the anti crowd will use any instance
and spin it off to try and make it fit their agenda.

What's worse is we hardly ever seem to see any reporters following up and
questioning these stupid remarks made by these anti officials.

paranoia deos not need to make sense. that is why "knee-jerk reactions" seldom makes for good laws. laws need to be well thought out, plainly worded, so there can be no misunderstanding to their meaning.

All of know what is going to happen with this, as pointed out by this topic. The Anti-Gun crowd is a lot of things but DUMB isn't in the description of the leaders. So I think we as a group have the same problem we all ways have. Lets be honest about it from our point. If we could carry in D.C. all of know that the chances are someone would have popped this guy but the Security Guard would still have gotten shot and the Anti Gun crowd would be pointing this out as "See because of people have the right to carry in D.C. two people got shot" so we would still be under attack. In my opinion the only thing that might be different is the tax paying citizen wouldn't be paying the bill for his recovery and imprisonment as the faint of heart liberals will say give him life behind bars when he should ride the lightning. Just my $.02 on the topic.
I realize he's 88 years old and even if he got the chair he'd probably die of his age before execution but the point is the point you play you pay. I discussed this with my sons at dinner last night and we don't always agree but on this we do.
All my best and sympathy to the family of the Security Guard the man was just doing his job.

I was watching a CBS news story on this, and the reporter actually said " this guy was a convicted felon, how did he get a gun?" This is what we are dealing with here folks. Complete ignorance and a failure to see the real world, and always thinking gubmit is the answer. I see it as the problem.
