my first post is a question.
i just bought a revelation r210a 30/06
nice old rifle.
it came with a bushnell scope and weaver bases and rings.
the bases on the rifle dont appear to be the right kind as there is a gap between the bases and the reciever.
my question is does any one know what number bases are correct for this rifle? weaver bases? also some one posted that redfield still made turn in bases for this gun. those would be nice!
need to know the numbers of the above and also where can i buy them.
many thanks john

You need to find out who made the rifle first of all. Some big chains like Sears, Montgomery Ward and Western Auto contracted for large numbers of rifles and shotguns from makers like Stevens, Winchester and High Standards. These were usually standard models that simply had the store name on them rather than the manufacturer. For example, Sears sold 'Ted Williams' brand shotguns for years that were really Winchester model 12's. The only difference was the name stamped on the barrel. Before that they sold the 'Charles Daily' brand which were actually made by High Standards.
