me and my bf walked into scheels last night, look at the handgun cases, and what did i see, a used ruger p89 that came with 4 extra magazines all for 299.99, i was almost about to not get it but then i told myself hell might as well.i probally wont find a deal like that again anytime soon, so i filled out the paper work last night and i can pick up tomorrow night if i didnt have to work, but since i do i have to get it on sunday. so this gun will be buddies with my other p89. i will post pics of the "new" p89 as soon as i can.

I'm her boyfriend, so I got to see it, and also encouraged her to get it. A new P-89 is about $429 and spare magazines are $35 apiece so it was a darn good deal with 5 mags altogether. It was in very good condition, with a flat black finish.

pics of the 2 together the first p89 is the one with the hogue grips and the one i just got is the one with the original ruger grips

With the value of the $$$ dropping like it has, why not buy the gun? Inflation is most likely now exceeding double digits, the first time in the lives of many here. Last time it was this bad was when Carter was president. Put $$$ in a savings account and the interest (which you have to pay taxes on) doesn't even keep up with the inflation. So buy a gun. Help kick start the economy, protect your investment and have a good time playing with quality pistols. The time will soon be here where you won't be able to buy an autoloader or decent revolver for less than a grand. Steel, as a commodity, is rising rapidly, as are ammunition components, labor, transportation, licensing and maintenance.

You don't have to pay taxes on the money you make from selling a gun or, rather, it's unrealistic to expect someone to do so. I also think Internet taxation is an inevitability. Guns, knives, magazines, ammunition, all will keep their value.

I would have bought it in a heartbeat.

Get your money back out of it with a spare mag or two and you have done well.

No matter what you do it is still a commonplace Ruger.

If you come out two mags up you have done well.
