what am i going to do?

i've been wanting mgm(suppliers fault) to get a 444 marlin for my tc encore. i started in feburary, and i have brass, powder, and 200 of 265gr hornady fp, but no barrel. i'm going to get it, but a little cartridge is starting to crawl up my back. the 338 federal is the bug. i haven't got anything yet, but 200-225gr hornady and seirra and a bag of 100 308 brass, and the dies should get me started.

my question is:

a. should i wait for the 444 marlin?
b. should i go ahead and buy the 338 fed?
c. should the cartridge in question have a 21-23" mgm heavy barrel?

i'll probably give it til august, but what should i do?

its coming, but which one? i am disabled(stroke) and only one this year.

Stick with the 444 for now. The 338 Federal will be waiting for next year
