What archery glove are you using? Can you shoot your handgun with it?

I figured this would go better in here since it's more pertinent to archery than to hunting, and it's more about the archery gear than it is about shooting a handgun.

I'm looking for some input on a shooting glove for archery, but not a traditional one. I want something that will protect my fingers and not hang onto the string too much so I have a good release, but I also want to be able to access and shoot my pistol while wearing the glove.

I tried just using the tuff grip glove that I occasionally use when shooting, and it actually worked surprisingly well... Until day 2 of using it, when I took it off and had a pretty good sized blood blister (approx 3 ml of blood)
Just wondering what all the traditional guys on here are using :)

I use a S.A.M. Tab instead of a glove. It's a fairly thick double layer tab with a cord that wraps around your wrist. You won't be shooting a gun with the tab on but it slides off of the hand quickly and hangs from the wrist so you can use your fingers.

Be sure to use a deep hook and not your fingertips when pulling the string. String pressure should be about 80% on the middle finger, 15% on index and 5% on the ring finger. Good finger protection with the string in the first joint and appropriate pressure will greatly reduce blisters or sore fingers.

Hadn't thought of weightlifting gloves.

I'll check. Out the Sam tab. I prefer tabs for when I'm using a bow with a sight, but for barebow I really like the glove for some reason
