What are a handful of the very best guns that got away from you?

Mine would be my M77 in .338 Win. Mag.

Bought it for a trip out west and my bud's bailed on me.
Sold it and actually broke about even after 10 years as the "safe queen".

I will never let go of the Big7's (3 total).
That will do anything I need or want to do.

3 I regret selling

HK 91 IB date. Had oem santag scope

Armalite AR180 Costa Mesa had OEM scope with inverted reticle

Colt Python 2 1/2" Nickel plated. Got it for $525. I feel like an idiot for selling it at $950

Benelli super vinci was a gun i loved to use in P.A but just dont see the need for it in Florida
Also had a ak style ( i think arsenal was the name) 410 shotgun with drum mags and slidefrie stock.. fun gun but really just a fun gun at
best with no particualr purpose but fun. But i spent $1200 on it due to potentially a false flag sandy hook capstone exercise that tried to ban alot of guns/mags and also raise the price of nearly every firearm and ammo nationwide, when really its only worth about $600 at best and $330 slidefire stock and sold it with 10 boxes of 410 ammo for $770. Boy im just a sucker for getting ripped the heck off....just had no use for the gun , Besides Slidefire stocks are a thing of the past. Now we have the Best options with the newly released ECHO TRIGGERS AND BINARY TRIGGERS WITH TWO HAMMERS THAT WORK ON PULL AND RELEASE INSTEAD OF THE AWKWARDLY SLIDFIRE STOCKS USEAGE OF FORWARD BACKWARD MOMENTUM TO GET THE SAME EFFECT. Only problem is the Echo Triggers $479 a piece.. but worth every Penny for accurate double taps that rivals any Full auto gun . Best part is the echo trigger ATF APPROVED AND LEGAL..
Also had a winchester sx3 20 guage with that rubbery camo coating ibought for the wife to ( maybe) shoot clays more comfortably than a 12 ga. But she lost interest and i got ripped off at a gun show . It was never fired $1000 gun with 18 cases not boxes of 20 ga. Bird shot thrown in on the deal for $870. Can we say i got it shoved right up the keester.. on that deal.... lol....
Boy i wish i had kept that gun ( and the darn ammo i gave away with it)

There have been many guns that I've passed on but really have not had any regrets about them. It was what it was.

But one...

Around 1990, I was getting into competitive skeet. The range I shot at got some shotguns from an estate to sell on consignment. I bought a 12 ga Citori, Grade 3 Skeet, from the estate. As part of the estate, there were also a matching 20 ga, 28 ga, and .410 bore Grade 3 Skeet Citori shotguns. No way I could afford all three but I have a fondness for shooting 28 gauge and could have bought the 28 ga. shotgun.

I didn't. Oh, well.

Winchester 255 lever action 22 mag. Very accurate but sold it to buy a 10/22 for the cheaper ammo, mostly used it for squirrel hunting. Young broke and didn't know any better. At the time I sold it for $75, really wish I had taken the time to save up more money and I would now have both.

The two that stand out, are a Colt Diamond Back, blue, .38 spl. With a 2.5 in. BBL. For $300.00. this was 1998 and I was looking for a Python, blue, with a 4 in BBL. it sat in The used case for over a month. The second was a Dan Wesson pistol pack, blue, .357 MAG, all bbls. Case & tools, $400.00 CASH ONLY ! Again, this was 1998, I was driving back from a fishing trip in southern Illinois and stopped in a small L.G.S. I didn't have the cash and was not driving all the way back down there. Both were mint except the Colt did not have the box. I never saw another pistol pack in that shape again.
