What are the lowest price 100% AR lowers right now?

Because of recent circumstances, originally I was thinking about getting a dedicated AR lower for Glock magazines to shoot 9mm or 10mm, but I don't like the idea of buying a lower that couldn't also be used for .223/5.56, say if the lower got damaged, I'd be SOL because I'm only gonna buy one Glock AR lower. I've seen some accessories that turn standard lowers into Glock mag compatible lowers and they seem to run pretty reliably and the best part is, if a lower gets damaged or worn out, I can just swap the adapter into a different lower.
You should look into the Torkmag G-block magwell adapter kit.

The right tools make the build easy, but to tell you the truth the you could build an AR with the tools on the average handymen’s work bench.

True but something to hold the upper is helpful while torquing down the barrel nut. Do you have a way to do it without the upper being secured?

I got a Magpul Bev Block which I really like. It's not the cheapest option but it worked really well.

OP could get a set of punches at Harbor Freight or similar store for a few bucks. I'm betting the probably have a hammer. So they just really need an armors wrench to make life simpler although I'm sure there's a work around. While not the greatest a torque wrench from HF is also cheap.

Oh and let's not forget the ^*^%% Hex wrenches. We won't mention someone who couldn't find his ;-)

The upper can be bought complete, there are many options out there.
But a AR vice block can be picked up pretty cheap if you wish to build your own.

I prefer to use the Geissele Reaction Rod when building or working on uppers.
A bench block is a must for a workbench.
The first AE Aromorer’s bench block I bought from Brownell’s, the orange one. I then bought the Wheeler Armorer bench block and find that I use it more.

The Geissele Reaction Rod looks really nice. I went with the Magpul BevBlock as it seemed to get lots of great reviews and was about 1/2 the cost of the Geissele!

You missed the killer deals. Primary Arms had Anderson lowers for $29.99.

They’re not forged but rather mil spec cast

Their regular price is $39.99

If you shop you you may find slightly better by that isn’t a horrible price
I just grabbed 3 at $39 each :). A local pawnshop did the transfer for $10 each and one call fee at $5.
Thanks for the headsup!

Gunna do one as a 20" M16a2 replica, '80s style; one as a 9mm, and one as a piston-drive heavy barrel with those awesome new Hera Arms cqb stocks.

local store had lowers for 35.00 plus tax, I think an aero, it didn't look bad so I purchased one total a little over 37.00 I thought that was a good start for a long barrel AR now to find good deals on a 20 or more inch barrel

Glad to help.
Sounds like you did ok.
I’ll make you cry. My local FFL isnt the cheapest is seen on THR, but he’s reasonable and the lowest around here at $20 per transfer no matter how many lowers or guns.

We have a couple of places close to me that doesn't charge to do a transfer and each time I've used one I try to find something there that I need, sometimes another gun or at least some reloading supplies

I picked up five of the Anderson lowers for 29.95 each. BTW they are forged. I didn't need them but could not pass up that price. They're great lowers and have used them on numerous builds.

If you know anything about the manufacturing of ARs upper and lowers you would be familiar with the term forged billet.
Forged billets are bought by manufacturers like Anderson and Aero Precision who do the final milling.

You can buy them pretty cheap, they make great paperweights.

yes, your right, its just become unusual to hear the two put together like that. Obviously a forging is a start point to milling, but you usually associate 'billet' with those unusual CNC pattern skull/aligator/somewhow better because it has sharp angles lowers. Just making the point that the Anderson current production are not cast. I may use one as a paper weight :)
