What are the modern day classics?

Guess that the Glocks are the biggest thing in recent years. Lots of folk have followed their lead. Every manufacturer seems to make a polymer-framed pistol... and I'm a little curious why S&W hasn't made a polymer-framed revolver of some sort.

Sorry but I can't even see the Glock elevated to the status of Classic. It's not good looking, it's very wide and it's plastic. This is only IMO of course. (no flames) Lets not confuse popular with classic...

Glock no longer recognizes the .40 cartridge as .40 S&W anyway

s&w is just as bad. this is the magazine from my m&p. they dont credit sig for the 357 sig.

the only weapon created in the last 25 years that i feel will one day be a "classic" is the walther p99/sw99. it has never found the success it deserves, and one day i believe it will truly be a classic.

Classic-

-Serving as the established model or standard:
-Having lasting significance or worth; enduring.

IMHO the Glock 17 fits the definition...glock changed the game.
