I've just ordered some 45 GAP brass for my S&W 625 (45ACP) and would like to know your experiences using the 45 GAP in a 45 ACP round gun.

Just curious, what would the advantage be to shooting .45Gap in a .45ACP gun???????? Putting the bullet .125" farther away from the Forcing cone/ lands, wont improve the accuracy or the velocity will it??????

Small pistol primers cost the same as the large ones around here, and .5 grains of powder less wont save much????

Try some factory before you get the dies to load this:cool:

JMHO YMMV

what would the advantage

Some of the "gammers" around here, think they get faster reloads. The stubbier cases do seem to line up easier, but I'm not realy sure the advantage is much.

Master Blaster,

My thoughts are inline with what "JoeHatley" said, I want to see if it's easier (quicker), although I don't expect much difference.

It will also be easier to keep my auto and revolver brass seperated, auto fired brass seems to be a problem (sometimes) in my 625. Besides it's always fun to work up another handload.
