What are your favorite pair of guns to shoot together at the range?

Service Model ACE .22 and 1911oid 9mm or .45.

Kadet .22 conversion and CZ75.

M18 .22 and M686 .357.

I have enough pre-panic .22s for a smallbore warmup before shooting centerfires.

+1 on the CZ75b and Kadet kit. If I pair up the same cartridge, it's a CZ82 with a Bulgarian Makarov. If it's same caliber different cartridge then I bring my CZ97b with a Ruger Bisley Vaquero in 45 Colt.

I know this is posted in the auto thread but my two favorite guns for the range are a pair of Colt 3rd Gen. SAA's loaded with a full case of 2f black powder in my CAS matches. I usually shoot Gunfighter category which means I have one in each hand banging away at targets. If it was autos it would be my 1941 Commercial Colt and my New Agent. Colt/Colt and Colt/Colt. I sense a pattern here.:)

Well, you asked favorite guns, rather than favorite autoloaders, so I guess the question is fair game despite the sub forum we are in.

My favorite pair would have to be my S&W model 19 along with Rossi M92 in .357mag.
One type of ammo, and two guns that are more accurate than I could hope to be!

Nothing gets more attention faster than shooting two Colt 1903 Model M's in .32 side by side or, at the outdoor Farm range, one in each hand...

My favorite pair.

VooDoo

I generally shoot the Colt diamondback guns. A 22 and a .38 special.

I sometimes take the S&W mod 19 snub and the 686.

If its rifles I'll take the .30 carbine and the M1 Garand.

My wife says she thinks it doesn't matter to me...so long as I get to the range. I agree...its just not often enough!

edit; After posting I remembered I was on the autoloaders page. So...sometimes its the Ruger .22 semi and the S&W dao .45 acp.

9" single six and 15" SAA .357 for cheap fun
44 mag super16 contender and taurus m44 for stress relief
Marlin 60 and the other two model 60s in this house. For fast paced longer range fun
Rem700 .270win and marlin 30a for days when my buddies think their rifles can shoot (I spank them with both guns regularly)
Rem m11 (1926) and hr American (1896) for days when I feel like being nostalgic
Taurus pt99 and itself with ceiner 22 conversion when I want to shoot and ride the motorcycle too.

I have too many favorites

Hi all, new to THR. I usually take my CZ-75B and my Ruger Mk lll. They're both stock and the CZ is just a really nice pistol and I shoot better with it than any other full size pistol.

I have two SA 9mm Sigs that travel together frequently - a Swiss Army P210 and an X-5 TAC TB. So similar, yet so different. It's not just me that enjoys the contrast of shooting these two together either.

Probably my two favorite range companions are my Colt Combat Commander and my Browning Hi-Power.

I've got quite a few as a matter of fact, depends on what kind of mood I'm in. I do like my Beretta 92FS, as well as my Springfield XD-40, not to mention my Colt Gold Cup National Match Series 70, I do like my S&W model 29, as well as my Ruger SBH in .44 Mag, also my Ruger 4" Standard model auto in .22LR, and my Browning Buckmark Hunter, now that's just my range guns, never mentioned my small autos, or my derringers in various calibers, or my S&W .357's, or my Colt Detective Special, etc etc etc.

My Walther P88 and my SIG P210-6. So different feel in the hand that it takes a lot of lead down the range to be proficient with both for the competition shooting (different guns for different disciplines) that I do.

S&W 1911 5" full size .45 ACP
& S&W 625 5" bbl. .45 ACP Full moon clips or .45 auto Rim

used to take the 625 with a 617 6" bbl. to
warm up with. but with scarce .22 I sold
the 617 look around for a 3"-4" 63
to pair with my Model 60 .357 3" bbl.

In addition to some identical pairs,,,

In addition to some identical pairs like my Ruger 22/45's and my Beretta NEOS',,,
I also have matching pairs in rimfire/centerfire.

Hawes SAA clone in .22 and SAA clone in .357 Magnum,,,
Charter Arms .22 Pathfinder and .44 Bulldog,,,
Bersa Thunder 22 and Thunder 380,,,
Beretta Model 87 and Model 85,,,
CZ-75B Kadet and CZ-75B,,,
Taurus 22-PLY and 25-PLY,,,
S&W Model 18 and 15,,,
S&W Model 34 and 36.

I'm a firm believer that lots of practice with the rimfires,,,
Translates to increased accuracy/proficiency with the centerfires.

Out of these 8 pairs The S&W 18/15, the Bersa Thunders, and the CZ's see the most range time.

Favorite pairings:
Double stacks: P226 + .22 conversion and M11-A1.
Single stacks: P239 and EMP.
Rimfire: Mark III Hunter and Single Six Hunter.

Depends, if I'm going to the range to practice for upcoming competition, I'll take my G17 and G26, that way I can get work in on comp gun and CCW piece. If I'm going just for fun, I'll take my AR, M9, and Mossberg 590A1 and pretend I'm back in the sandbox haha

I know that last one isn't a "pairing", but they typically all go out at the same time
