Most likely a 177

If you have a pellet try it...if it fits right...ding! ding! ding!
Try a .22 lr bullet in the muzzle end of the barrel and see if it starts in ok. If not, it is surely a 177.

Just repeating what everyone else said. Most likely its a .177 or .22, there are not too many airgun calibers, I would guess that a good 90% are either of the two calibers already listed.

I'd guess .177

Hold on TIGHTLY to the underlever while you load the chamber. If the sear lets go while your finger is in the loading chamber you'll be very unhappy.

Make sure the muzzle is pointed in a safe direction. Had one like yours that went off when the underlever was latched back under the barrel after cocking & loading.

A buddy of mine had a rifle identical to that. I don't remember the brand name, but he got it at a flea market. His was .177, I'd just about bet my next paycheck that's what it is.

Had one that looked a lot like that. Your basic cheap Chinese air rifle.

Most likely a .177.

Looks like a Chinese B3. I have one in .177--basic $20 air rifle. Decent power, but it's an abomination to use. Uncomfortable stock, trigger in the wrong place, about 100lb. trigger pull, rear sight's too far back, no anti-beartrap feature, etc.

It's an interesting gun just to be around, though, since it has sort of an agricultural finish and looks sort of like an SKS mated with an M-14.

A friend has the same EXACT rifle that he got for 40 $ and it was a .22

That looks to be the same air rifle I have. Mine is a .177, but as others have pointed out...just test it out. Try and .177 pellet, and if the shoe fits...you know.

Good luck.

i couldn't tell ya what caliber it is. but i was wondering how good are those chinese air rifles? i almost bought one last sundyday. i thought it would be good to put in the bottom of the boat for snakes while fishing.

They're worth about what you pay for them. Most work. Mine was pretty accurate but occasionally shed a part while I was using it. A friend bought one and the trigger quit working.

I'd say your odds of getting one that works are pretty good. But they're not really nice airguns--besides the obvious, the Chinese still have problems making a good spring for some reason.
