What caliber do you own more of?

I'm not a caliber zealot, but unless I get into revolvers or blowback mouseguns, all my future handgun purchases are likely to be in 9x19 or .45ACP. Time-tested, widely-available, cheap, countless interesting loadings, and just about every manufacturer makes guns chambered in these calibers. A simple proposition, velocity and capacity vs. bullet weight and diameter, sound arguments for both.

Some newer calibers seem gimmicky, an answer to a question nobody asked, others are clever and intriguing, exotic calibers are fascinating to read about and discuss, but until I have more time and money than I know what to do with, I'll probably stick with the classics. Great question, though!

2 x .32acp
3 x 9mm
2 x .40 S&W
1 x .38
1 x .357
1 X .22LR

Thats my pistols only...not counting any long guns.

Hoboken?!

One each of .357, .410, 5.56x45, and 7.62x54R right now, but I anticipate another 7.62x54R coming soon... I think I have found my new favorite caliber...

The C&R license is calling to me, and I find myself drooling over ads that say "91/30 $69.95, 10 or more: $64.95, hex receiver add $10, handpick add $10".

Even worse (better?) I see the ads for crates of ammo with almost a thousand rounds for sixty bucks and I just do this: :what: Gimme ten!!!

Man, they lure you in like a drug dealer with these milsurps... "first one's free, or close enough..."

Next thing you know you want one with a laminated stock, or a particular arsenal, or the model without the bayonet, or the one with the funny stamp, or the one without the funny stamp, or, or, or..... :cuss:

9x18 for sure.
Fourteen Makarovs but two are 380.
Three P-64.
One PA63.
Oh, and one CZ83 9x18.

Then I guess Carbine would be next.
Ten M1/M2 Carbines.

If you include my wife's guns, it's a tie:

5 ea, .45 ACP and 7.5 Swiss

Just mine, 5 7.5 Swiss, 4 .45 ACP, 7.62x39, and 7.62x54R

7.62x54R may assume the lead later this year.

Hmmm...

I guess it's in this order:

7.62x54r (5)
.357 mag (3)
7.62x39 (3)
5.56 (3)
.303 (2)
7.5x55 (2)
.308 (2)
10mm (2)
9mm (1)
.38 spec. (1)
7.62 Tok (1)
12ga. (1)

3 x 40S&W
3 x 22LR
2 x 45 ACP
2 x 9MM
2 x 38 SPec
2 x 32 ACP
2 x 9MM Mak
1 x 380 ACP
1 x 357 Mag
1 x 357 Sig
1 x 7.62X25 Tok
1 x 8mm Mauser
1 x 7.62X54R
1 x 7.62X39
1 x 12Ga
1 x 303 Brit
1 x 7.62X51 Nato

Ouch (Now I know why my ammo bill is more than my cable bill)

Number of bullets?

.22 LR, by far, though it's so easy to do so it's almost not worth mentioning.

Second place is 7.62x54R, which isn't quite as cheap, but close.
I have two Mosins, an M44 and a sporterized Remington M91, and have an M39 coming from AIM.
The bang for the buck is unbeatable with these firearms.
