Hi,

I started a new thread concerning my next purchase...a Colt or Colt-like Single Action pistol. It will chambered in .45 Colt.

What kind of rounds may be shot through it? You know...like a .357 can shoot 38's...Is the plinking round for a 45 colt the schoeffield or should one just stick to CAS ammo for plinking?

Presently, I'm too lazy to reload....but I may get into in the future.

Thanks for the info,
-LW

Check out the Ruger Blackhawk. Single-action 6-shooter, and you can get it with an extra cylinder that will allow you to shoot .45ACP as well. The .45 ACP also seems to be pretty accurate from this gun as well. I'm considering making one of these my first revolver purchase sometime next year. You can get barrel lengths of 4 5/8", 5.5", and 7.5".

The .45 colt is a plinking round for the .454 casull already.
.45 acp is a little cheaper, but doesn't have the same allure.
Like a few other calibers that I shoot, I consider it necessary to reload .45 colt to shoot it enough without breaking the bank.
