i'm heading to a gun show and will buy at least one more gun. i want another CC piece. i currently cc either a lcp, 442, cz-82, or bersa thunder.

requirements:
-DA/SA or DAO trigger (so no 1911)
-high capacity (at least 10 in the mag). open as to between 9/40/45/357sig
-real sights
-not be difficult to conceal IWB for a 5'9" guy with a medium build
-let's say under $1k. can't imagine anything meeting these stats being more than $1k. usually only fancy 1911's are more than that, and i have ruled out 1911s.
-i repeat, NO 1911's

:D

ideas?

some ideas i'm kicking around are: Glock 27, Glock 30, xd compact 9/40/45, cz p01 (maybe)...

I don't think a Glock meets the OP's requirement for DA/SA or DAO trigger. I know that the Glock is technically a DAO, but, in all practically, it is more like a SA. Consider the OP's other CC weapons - LCP, 642 etc - all of these have nice long (and hard) trigger pulls. I think that is what he is looking for.

He's the one that said he was already thinking about maybe a Glock, so it must meet at least SOME of his requirements!

Glock meets my requirements, as does the xd. Glock is a DA, xd is more of a SA, but I feel fine with the trigger safety and grip safety.

I'm going to have to see how I like pretty much all the compacts and buy what I end up liking the best. I already have a full size xd 45 that I love, so a subcompact xd is definitely one of the pistols I will be checking out.

I know a lot of people come down on them, but I bought a Taurus pt-145 millineum pro for my CC. I've had it for awhile but haven't fired it that much, maybe 200 rounds through it but so far it's been top notch.

Glock 27 / XD 40-45 Compact / PT 145 Pro

All gives you 10+ carry option (mag base or larger mag), great accuracy, reliability and small carry size with very reasonable price range ($300-$500).

HK USP compact or P2000 in 9mm or .40
Glock 19
Sig 228

I've carried all of these and have found them all to be reliable and fairly easy to conceal (at least in cold weather).

What do you many, no 1911s? Our policy is DAO so I carry a Para 5" 1911 7-45 LDO (light double action) that has a double action trigger pull as good as any custom revolver. I'm 6'1" medium build and have carried a 1911 and S&W .357 4" barrel for over 30 years, on duty and off.
