I think I may be stuck in a 9mm rut. Almost all my handguns, beside the 22's, are 9mm'sv (9x17 & 9x19). On top of that almost every handgun I look at and seem interested in are 9mm's as well.
Here's what I have so far,

9x17
Bersa T-380
Bersa CC-380
Kel-tec P3T

9x19
Beretta 92FS
Beretta PX4 + mag matching CX4 carbine
CZ-75B Stainless
CZ-2075 Rami
Browning T-type High power
Taurus 24/7 Stainless
Taurus 24/7 Compact Stainless
Taurus 709
Armalite AR-24

Here's what I keep looking at
Browning Target HP
CZ PCR
Beretta 92FS stainless
Walther P99
Springfield XD
Bersa UC
Glock 26
NAA
And so on

Think I have a problem, or Am I worrying too much? Anyone else here focus mainly on one Cal. ? Oh I do have one 45, it's a Colt 1917 and I have been looking to get a 1911.

thanks

WL,

Nothing a little "therapy" won't fix. Now repeat after me, sloowly: I will buy a .40 . . . . . . . I will buy a .45 . . . . . . I will buy a .40 . . . . . . :D

I dont really feel the need for a autoloader in a cal other than 9mm really. Its kinda nice to have standardization.

Nothing I can do with a 40 or 45 that I cant with a 9mm.

Other then do it more expensively. and with less capacity. and... with a heavier gun.

Now, a hunting revolver caliber like 44 or 357 thats another story. I do see myself needing one of those soon.......

Of the 20 handguns that I own, 16 are 9mm. What can I say - I like the round. Perhaps you should get a 9mm revolver for a change.

Shoot a sweet 1911 in 45acp at the range and see if you don't get the "fever" ........ if not, stick with your 9mms.

What's wrong with sticking with one caliber as long as it gets the job done? When you start collecting calibers, that's when you have a problem.

And yeah, you need a P08.

I like 9mm as well. The 9mm has so many neat guns for it. Then if you also include 9mm Kurtz you open up so many more. I could never get into 45 because they only thing they have going for them are 1911s and 1911s. 9mm has BHP, CZ75, HK P7, Beretta 92, Luger, HK P9S, Sig 210, the list goes on.

Nothing wrong with you. You just like variety in your pistols. Unless you consider a blued 1911 and a stainless 1911 variety. True there are plenty of 9mm 1911 options out there but I just cut to the chase on that by getting a Hi Power.

This is just simply not true.

I like the 9mm and it is my sport / defensive caliber, but to say there arent just as many designs in 45 would be silly.

45 is FAR more than just 1911s.

I don't see the problem here...
I have a Ruger P95, a Kel Tec PF9 and plan to get a Bersa 380 (9mm Kurz) with Crimson Trace grips for the wife next week. Then I will plan on a Kel Tec P3AT next. Down the road, I would like to get a 9mm snubby revolver( preferably a Ruger SP101, if I can find one) I may settle for a Taurus 950 with Wolff springs. Still researching the Taurus.
