What constitutes someone as a "wannabe reloader"?

I wannabe reloading, but instead I am stuck at work.

Please, this is The High Road. We don't use four letter words here.......

I never heard the term "Wannabe Reloader"

Does that mean people are saying it behind my back? I've been called "Brass Whore" almost as many times as I deserve to be, I'm just always 2 steps ahead on my brass collecting.

I'm betting the term evolved from some latent resentment stemming from the fact that some ol'salty reloader who's recently run through his last batch of primers, only to find some young buck online bragging about finding the last 105,000 WLP's and buying them all for $9.99 per k... just a theory.

I never got into metallic reloading.
Instead shotgun shell reloading.

So I did a lot of shotgun shells for those into metallic, and they reloaded metallic for me.
Just folks I trusted, like mentors, and such.

Life is Life, and as a wittle brat, I pulled the handle or sorted brass, or something...
Metallic folks also shared how they did the same things with shotgun shells, still never got into reloading shotgun shells, as I did not metallic.

I had a LNIB Rockchucker with everything I needed, and was looking forward to getting into metallic.
Just simple stuff, like .38spl.

Rockchucker is a sentimental thing with me, Mentors used these.

I also had one or two of those hand held Lee reloaders, same deal, sentimental and all that.
Tornadoes took from me, and all my reloading stuff was taken, both shotgun shell and metallic.

Yeah I "wanted to reload" metallic, which to me differs from "wannabe reloader".

The way things are now, I wish I still had my Red Ryder BB gun, and all those BBs I had.

I would be a BB Recycler. *grin*

I moved, and have a neat garage, really long.
A box, some carpet, or some kind of backstop, and "trapping" the BBs so I could re use them sounds pretty good and makes sense for really inexpensive , fun.

Maybe I need to copyright that "BB Recyler" bit, huh? *wink*

You say 'brass whore' like it's a bad thing. Maybe I should put that on my license plate: BRASS HO.

I once used 'wannabe reloader' in a sentence where I welcomed all newcomers as friends and brothers. It is poor luck that some of our new friends can find neither equipment nor components right now, so they want to reload but cannot. If they can find components but lack equipment, I invite them over to the house to use my presses. Better to get them acquainted with the hobby now (and hooked!) so they can make wise equipment purchases later.

Your Friend,
