What did Barrett really do about California rifle sales?

Barret is a smart man. His decision is the right one in my opinion. I hope more gun companies follow his lead.

I couldn't agree more.

He's in the business of selling guns, and a meaningless "boycott" will appeal to a lot of his intended customers.

Smart business man!

As far as most of other companies following his lead..... Never going to happen. At least not the ones that have any significant CA LE sales. That would actually cost them business, and a bunch of cheering from internet bulletin boards wouldn't make up for the loss.

I'm not a firm beleiver in boycotting. I just apply my purchases to those I choose deserving of such. If I don't appreciate the internal workings of a company or state for that matter, I just choose to do business elsewhere. I haven't watched CBS in a year now. No big deal, and no big lose. Barrett has chosen the same direction. I don't think that the forum is a bunch of cheerleaders. All you have to do is look at my and many other peoples purchases in the last year. Most of us do what we say. Just because Barrett is being vocal over the treatment of his co. by Ca.. That doesn't mean he's trying to shill for his own purposes. Yes he is in business to sell guns. High quality and higher priced weapons. I don't think he will sell one more to us collectors just because of this. You either want one or not. But it's the way of all manufacturors in Ca. Soon Mc D's will have to drop test their burgers. I think enough is enough and Ca needs to wake up.

I appreciate your course of action. I take the same steps, and vote with my own wallet.

My point, which has been mainly lost on those who've posted here, is that expecting gun and ammo manufacturer's to fight our political battles for us is a mistake, and in my opinion, lazy. Barrett is just capitalizing on that attitude.

On other threads, folks want the American ammo companies to boycott CA and the stupid bullet marking idea, if it becomes law. Meanwhile, how many of the same folks have purchased Russian or Chinese, or Korean ammunition because they saved a couple of bucks? Am I the only one that sees the incongruity here?

I believe that too many here, even the loud screamers, would buy "Sarah Brady" brand ammo, with all profits going to fund gun control, if they could save 10 bucks a case.
