What did you shoot today?

20inch AR. Working up 60 gr V-max loads. Loaded 4 different cfe223. Nothing was great @ 100yrds. 1/8 criterion. The rifle loves 75gr bthp. Looking for good varmint loads.

I shot my Smith and Wesson 411 and my Ruger SR-22 rifle today. I did okay with the 411, but was really happy with my red dot on the SR-22 at 25 yards. I put 25 rounds of Federal 550 round bulk red box 36 grain hollow points through a hole the size of a half dollar on my last volley.
I know that might not be very impressive for some of you, but for me, it was awesome!

Put quite a few rounds through the Savage Recon this morning. Met up with a guy I’m friends with that is a member of a private range I want to join. Part of the application process is I’m required to go shooting with him at the club range so he could verify my safe gun handing skills prior to sponsoring me.

Had a blast, got on the 300yd range and was nailing 6in steel gong which was pretty fun.

Normally all my shooting consists of driving to a buddy of mine 30 mins west of here and shooting in a hay field. Can’t get much past 200yds due to safety concerns, and it was nice to visit a range and not have to haul half my house with me :)

Shot a Steel Challenge Match today. Had some great runs but had too many misses. I've got to learn to slow down and make my hits. All in all it was a very fun match. A new shooter borrowed one of my guns and did excellent.

It was 106 ° today. I came prepared with a new hat with a fan built into it, a chilly towel and lots of gatoraide.

Came home and cleaned the guns, set up another loaner for my new friend so that she can test a heavy Mark IV 22 Target compared to my 22/45 Lite and I put a C-More Railway 12 MOA red dot sight on it. I'll sight it in later this week.

Hi...
Went to the range on Sunday with my son.
90°F and humid...not a bit of a breeze.
Only stayed a couple of hours.

Ran a few dozen rounds through my Taylor's .357Mag lever action. I just had a local gunsmith slick the action up...still wants to bind occasionally. I will run a couple hundred more rounds through it before I have them take another look at it.
Shot about 50-60 rounds through my new to me three screw Super BlackHawk in .44Magnum. No problem smacking steel plates out to 25 yds and hit some fairly small rocks on the berm beyond regularly.

Shot about 100 rounds total of .45ACP through my Springfield Armory 1911 carry gun and a Rock Island 1911. No problem hitting steel plates out to 25yds with either gun. Starting to like this new Rock Island 1911.

I went and shot a 38 special today for the first time, just 6 rounds.its really nice to hold and not a ton of kick and more accurate than I ever thought..never had the opportunity to buy one and my grandpa passed in January and I inherited his nickel plated 38 special and had to let out some lead in his memory....well came back inside and started cleaning it and doing some research and I believe it's a model 1905 4th change with pin barrel and matching serial numbers all the way aroundfrom what iv read and now I'm wondering what info I don't have on it and think it should get put up in a case maybe ??
Not to be superstitious but the last 3 numbers on serial is 666...should I be worryd

Stamped MAK 90, in 7.62 x 39.

Seems redundant to list the chambering, but some identical rifles can be found in .223/5.56.

Nickelplatedrevolver:
Worry about 666? No.

But don’t ignore fairly subtle changes in health, even if getting strangely short of breath during exercise.
Thus easily could have killed me in 2017.
One day it suddenly produced a Bad Flu sensation.
What saved me was that I was not far from a hospital when the heart attack hit I had no idea :what: what made me instantaneously feel sick ). And Also— my Wife answered her phone…and said “Well, you could to the ER”.

A ——cardiologist—- called me very healthy, having no immed. treadmill test avail. a few days prior to the heart attack….
—Wife—Very Easily—-could have been Widowed a second time.:(, had I been sleeping, or on the road many miles from a hospital........very freaky-----------Somebody, please learn from my stupidity and hard -headedness.

666 is nothing.:)

_DSC9727.jpg Tandemkross upgrades.jpg I put the C-More back on my Black Mamba today and sighted it in for this week's Steel Challenge Match. I shot about 200 rounds and I'm very pleased with the way the gun is reacting and shooting.

I also sighted in my backup Ruger 22/45 to lend a friend so that she can shoot Sunday as well. Made sure the gun was functioning correctly and she should be happy with the equipment. It's got a slightly better trigger than my Mamba. Maybe I'll swap frames after the match.

One of my VZ-70's - just enough rounds to verify reliable function with hollow points in some new mags I bought for it. Took 10 minutes. The other people at the range probably thought I was kookoo.

Shot my CCW, a 3" Springfield EMP. Ran like a top, putting almost 170 rounds of a wide variety of 9mm through it. As for me, I shot pretty well, all-in-all. Good day at my local range.
