Hi, there. Was wondering anyone of u have hands on experience with this Gamo Big Cat Pellet Gun? What about its performance? Is it a nice gun to go with?

I honestly havent found much differance between any of the heavy piston plants that use the same type of piston. The whisper is supposed to be quieter but i honestly dont find springers all that loud. My tuned QB was louder then any springer ive shot...atleast with pellets heavy enough to stay under the speed of sound.
The only weak point on the Gamo is the trigger. Order a replacement from CharlieDaTuna and you'll have a sweet shooting air rifle.

In the hundered dollar range, its a toss up. There are several manuf. that make OK Air rifles, but the quality takes a big swing with an extra C note. Accuracy goes from the size of a Silver Dollar to inside a dime.

I've had an RWS 34 for 20 odd years, and love it. I was recommending them on here until recently; I bought one for a buddy's kid's birthday, and the gun that arrived in the mail was not made by Diana/Dynamite Nobel, like mine, but by Umarex...a German toy company that got into the gun business, and is working hard at degrading the outstanding reputation of German manufacturing, IMHO. I've had two of their products, Walthers, and both were lemons. I'd try the Whisper.
