I am 24, a Marine, and I have over 100 'toys'
I have NO debt, and have never had any (No credit cards, no credit at ALL!)
I drive a car that is worth less than some of my guns.
It has the original everything (Including Radio, I don't have a CD player)
I do not care about clothes, my clothing is neat and clean, not 'trendy'
I will go out to eat, watch a movie, date... but I regulate my spending.
I started a IRA when I was 14-15 and have been putting money into ROTH IRA's ever since they came into existance, I am also in the closing process on a chunk of land that I am paying cash for. It's all about what is important.
I buy and sell guns often. Yesterday I bought 2 guns (Kimber and Smith) and sold 3. I buy a good deal, keep it for a while, then if I don't like it I'll flip it for a profit. (Sometimes just a couple dollars sometimes alot.)
It also helps to know what you are looking at, and knowing WHEN to buy. I know a fair amount about a certain sector, and I have friends that know about other parts. I called a buddy when I was looking at a 1895 in 30-40. (One of the ones they made in the 1980's) it was 95%+ and I was fairly sure it was a good buy.
I paid $369 and I understand that now (About 4 years later) they are over $1,000.
My FAL's are from Parts kits that I paid less than $150 for.
Most of my Mosin Nagants were the $35 ones. (Back when they were that price)
If I didn't put the time into looking for deals I couldn't do this. If I didn't buy and sell I couldn't do this.
