What do you fill your rest bags with? Years ago I bought some leather bags and filled them with 7 1/2 shot. Heavy as heck, caused the seams to fail, shoe goo to the rescue.
Recently I bought a Shooters Ridge rest and needed a back bag. The back bag by Caldwell was as much as a front and rear set made by Caldwell from midway.
The suggestion from caldwell is that I use corncob which I have in abundance but I'm thinking that is going to be a bit light. I'll probably fill that front bag and leave it in the trunk until it wears out just to have something anytime.
I'm thinking of a couple pounds of shot or so and the rest corn cob. Used corncob from my case vibrator.
I'm interested in how you set up your bag, especially if it it was a caldwell bag delivered unfilled.
Thanks,
Wes
