Hey all!

I'm just wanting to know what you luck owners of the CZ-75 think of your guns?

Feed back is totally appreciated, Pics are totally welcome!

On a side note, anyone know much about the CZ clone: the Canik 55? It was featured in American Rifleman this month and got some great reviews.

I'm pretty interested in these handsome little autos. I like my Glock, I just feel the CZ/Canik's have more personality. :neener:

I have three CZ's 75B, 82 and PO-1. They are without a doubt one of the finest pistols out there in todays market for the money. I love the way they fit my hand and the way they shoot. I've never had a single problem with any of them starting with the first round fired. The CZ82 was made in 1987 and was never issued, and shoots the 9x18 Mak round. Best $200 I ever spent on a pistol. The CZPO-1 could very well be the perfect pistol. IMHO:D

I have a cz75 and a 75b. Both are great guns that feed reliably and fit well in my hand. No major malfunctions with either yet, but neither have been shot extensively yet.

Can't speak to the Canik, but my wife and I both love our CZ75b. It has been totally reliable and accurate. Got the Kadet adapter for it and it has also been flawless and comfortable. It is easily as accurate as our Ruger MK II.

Interesting point about the CZ75b, it is comfortable for my very large hands and my wife's tiny ones.

I have owned CZ pistols since around 1996 when I bought my 75B. I liked it so much four years later I bought a 75D PCR (compact, alloy framed), and that has remained my main carry pistol ever since. I also have the excellent Kadet Kit .22LR conversion that works on all modern 75 based guns, and even the compacts like the PCR. They are all accurate, reliable and feel great in the hand.

I have read the Caniks are excellent clones, but no personal experience.

You might say I am somewhat partial to the brand...:D

Latest CZ, the P-09 Duty,

One of my first CZs, a P-01, way back before I added the Crimson Trace lasergrips to it...grips that are almost worn smooth from use. :) That gun rode with me for YEARS.

Heck, the wife gets involved, too, with her CZ 2075 RAMI,

CZ pistols and rifles fit me perfectly, always work right, and I have a blast, (pun intended), shooting them.

So does my son, with the Kadet Kit 2 .22lr adapter on the P-01. ;)

Yeah, you might say I like the brand.

I've used CZ clones in the past, including the first EA Witness in 40SW to hit the US, and the Canik is probably a Sarsilmaz pistol re-branded, just like the Ar-24. Sarsilmaz was an EAA distributor back in the day, and decided they could make the guns themselves and cut out the middleman. Clones of clones, but supposedly decent sold pistols.

I love my CZ75. Do yourself a favor and pickup some VZ grips for it, though. Most people find the stock grips to be less than comfortable.

Have a dozen CZs and Canik 55. The Canik replaced a P01 and PCR because it is alloy framed with a safety instead of decocker and all of my other guns are safety. CZ mags work in my Canik but the Canik mags don't lock into a CZ. Most parts are close but are not interchangeable. Have several 75b in glossy blue, nickel, their park type finish, polished stainless.

GREAT GUNS. BTW Armoredmans son is fun to shoot with ;)

I have a CZ-85 I won in an auction NIB and dressed up with these grips. I have never shot a pistol so well. Best trigger ever.

I bought a couple, but I'm not sure about them...they are all great, the actual CZ's and even the clones, but maybe I've just gotten lucky on the 20 or 30 I have.

I had a CZ 75B tutone in .40 and a 75B Compact in 9mm; neither one worked out out for me, but a lot of people like CZ so you have to respect that

My wife's nightstand gun and my EDC are CZ 75 SP-01. I traded a Custom Shop Sig P229 in .40 for mine, and I have not regretted it at all. For my wife and I, the CZ practically aims and shoots itself. I don't practice as much as I want to, and she practices less, but every time we pick them up we shoot them well.

I've started calling it my "Darn it" gun, because so many other gun owners shoot my CZ and then say "Darn it, I shoot your gun better than my own (Glock, Beretta, Bersa, or SIG so far)."

Hey OP, have you actually found a place that's got a CZ75B in stock? I asked a couple local gun shops recently and they all thought I was joking. Nobody's seen a NIB CZ75B locally in months.

I love my CZ75BD Police in 9mm. I sold off my CZ75B in .40 because I was consolidating calibers, but that was a real gem. If I had the funds I would probably have more CZs than armoredman haha.

Read the same article in AR. Short story-LEO for 4 decades/shooter/loader same time-have shot CZ75. Canik 55 is a CZ75 copy which is a Browning High Power Copy. BHP wins, carried 3 as LEO, more 1911s. But if I had be a 9mm-BHP would be it!

I have had my Canik 55 C-100 for about 8 months and like it a lot, mine is the compact alloy CZ clone that is chrome plated. Shoots great and has not had a malfunction yet. The fit and finish are as good or better than CZ's, and you save a couple hundred over the CZ on price too.

I have two Canik pistols, imported by Tristar. The C-100 is a copy of CZ's P01 and the S-120 which is a copy of the CZ 75B. Both feed reliably and have a nice trigger. They have a safety instead of a decocker. I really like them. Here is a new Gunblast review of the S-120:

If you want details from some people who are really into CZ's and clones, go to the original CZ forum, clone club.

I love my CZ75B, it used to be my carry gun until I got my 586 where I now switch back and forth between them. It's one of the best automatics I've shot and love it more considering how uncommon they are. Plus they have such a classy appearance. ;)

Looked over AR-24 carefully and thought it was very well put together piece of iron. It is rumored to be assembled from forged components like original CZ-75 pistols.

CZ

The CZ75 P07 Duty is exceptional in every way. I am shocked at just how good a plastic pistol they are. Can't say enough as it sounds gushing and silly. They are that good.

Luvs my Czech Ladies,,,

I am primarily a revolver guy,,,
But I wanted to own one good Wonder-Nine.

I did my reading research,,,
Rented a slew of guns at H&H in Ok City,,,
Shot lots of other peoples guns at my rifle & Pistol club.

The one I decided on was the standard CZ-75B in 9mm,,,
It really was the only high capacity 9mm that properly fit my hand.

I am very pleased with it's performance,,,
It has way more inherent accuracy than I can utilize,,,
In more than 3,000 rounds I can remember only one failure to eject.

And,,,
She's just sexy looking.

I'm especially glad that I also bought the CZ-75B Kadet in .22 LR,,,
CZ quit marketing the entire Kadet pistol in favor of just the conversion kit,,,
The inexpensive practice with .22 LR ammo has helped me to gain proficiency with the 9mm.

My typical outing is 50 rounds of rimfire and I mag (16 rounds) of 9mm,,,
Lather-Rinse-Repeat as often as you have ammo for.

I'm not saying the CZ-75B is the perfect 9mm handgun,,,
But if a high-capacity 9mm is what you want,,,
You should definitely "Czech" one out.

JMHO - YMMV
