What do you use for cleaning patches?

Southern Bloomers here. Not cheap, but so good I just find a way to afford them.

I always use hoppes patches. They come pre cut to the specific caliber, and they are cheap. I use a tipton cleaning rod and bore guide. I use cut up tee shirts to mop out the action, and finish with prolix dry lubricant. I then put 3 dry patches through it to make sure its dry, then shoot two fouling shots because rifles shoot best if they are slightly fouled. My first shot at a game animal is the 3rd shot after I cleaned the rifle (2 fouling plus 1st shot on game)

for cleaning patches, I use store-bought cleaning patches. They are really cheap if you buy them online and find the sales.

I buy unbleached muslin at fabric stores by the yard (about .89-1.00) Take it home and wash/dry it. Tear into strips (different sizes for different bore sizes), cut strips into squares, store in plastic bags. To use wrap around nylon bore brush, push through from breech to muzzle where possible. One way through then remove and discard. Cheap, absorbant, and effective.
