What folding knife would you rely on in a pinch for defense?

Spyderco

My Spyderco Police it goes with me everywhere and can be used for defense both blade open and blade closed.

Gee, I'm in CA (that is for California right?) and I can carry a Camillus Cuda Max?

Hmmm, although I usually carry something a bit smaller to work - like their Heat model.

The Heat is a great knife I've had mine for years and its strong and reliable, it also opens faster than a lot of actual switch-blades that I've had, even Benchmades! Also the blade material is great AUS-8 holds a real good edge.

I live in canada where we can carry any size fixed blade so I usually carry either my CRKT Sting dagger or my new scrapyard SS4.

I used to carry my byrd crossbill and still do occasionaly because it is a great buy ,is nice and slim in the pocket and is dramatic looking enough to hopefully scare off an attacker.

I have lost interest in folders for fixed blades but I fell in love with CRKT's new Hissatsu folder. It will probably be my next knife purchase.

MicroTech Lightfoot

Another vote for the MT Lightfoot.

It is not only a great tool, but a work of art. I have a gen2 with CF scales.

I love the D/A feature, unless you show someone they would never know.
