I just picked up a MEC reloader press, 8567 Grabber I believe, from a local yard sale and I have no idea what the gauge is. Owner was not there so couldn't get any questions asked.
I'm almost certain it is a 12 gauge press, but is there any way to know for sure what gauge it is? Anything I could look at that would identify it? Thanks.

MEC press

I looked on their website and that press is made in 12, 16, 20, 28, & 410 guage. Maybe look there and identify it or email them and ask how to.

Try a 12 gauge hull in the decapping die, 9 o'clock standing in front of it. These are nice reloaders. It will need to be set up for whatever load you want though, charge bars and bushings....

Whatever fired hull fits into the resizing die is a good clue. Some models also will stamp a 12 or other gauge on the base shell holder.

Should have a gauge number on the crimp starter and final die or other parts?

I sent an email to MEC asking this question and here is the response I got back: "The inside of all 3 crimping dies will have the gauge # molded into the start of the die to confirm gauge".
Just though you fellas might want to see that. Thanks for your help.
