Used to dislike?

Well, my first serious handguns were revolvers, but as soon as I could, I "promoted" myself to a wondernine. Revolvers were so old-fashioned. Also, 1911's were dull. I mean, they made interesting raceguns, but they were ugly, and I'd rather have a Glock.

Lord, 24-26 years old and I knew it all, baby. ;)

Now I'll walk past tables of Glocks and SIGs and USPs and what-have-you at gun shows, looking for old revolvers and nice 1911's.

Used to think the 1911 was a silly anachronism, then I started shooting one. Now I think they're pretty great, though spotty reliability and high prices still bug me. I still dislike 1911 fanboys though .

Always hated Glocks too, poor ergonomics and awful triggers. Starting to warm up to them though, thinking about buying a 26.

I never really appreciated the Kel-Tec P-11. Now I own one and am convinced it is a very reliable weapon for CCW.

Didn't care for revolvers. Too many cops shows and James Bond movies I suppose. But then I grew up and began to think in more practical terms. And "real world" experience proved the revolver was more practical for my everyday needs. I still have Autos and enjoy shooting them. But for "practical applications", the revolver is the primary choice.
