Yep, i think thats what it is, but if thats not it then its a SA 9mm 1911. Great movie btw.

I have a huge poster of John and Sam standing next to one another guns aimed, and in this shot it is definatly a .45 caliber hole at the end of a very shiny 1911, but that dosn't really mean much, they may have just used those for close ups??

Thats it!

It's been so many years since I've seen Repoman. That looks like the same glowing briefcase!

t's the briefcase from Repo Man
Actually in Repoman it was trunk that glowed.

If it was the same thing as what was in the trunk from Repoman why wasn't Travolta turned to dust

After at least 15 minutes of exhaustive research I have uncovered the truth of what was hidden in the briefcase

It's an apparatus for trapping lions in the Scottish Highlands.

My response was already noted in the thread, hence this removal.

In the briefcase...

Guess it wasn't the Ark of the Covenant, since we know from another movie that those spirt-thingies would have flown out and smited the robbers in the restaurant.

From all American Girl, Tarantino made a guest appearance and brought a briefcase with him, when he opened it he took out one of those portable book lights. So that's what I think is it. A portable book light.

Samuel Jackson in a 1995 Playboy interview, "When I looked inside, between scenes, I saw two lights and some batteries. What I would have wanted to see are the next ten films I'm going to do and hope that they're all as good as Pulp Fiction."
so there

Marsellus Wallace's soul.

I dont really think that the coffee shop hoodlum would have been likely to recognize the physical embodyment of a man's soul immediatly upon opening the briefcase.

I surely thought it was a Nickle-plated 9mm Springer. I thought I recognized the markings on the slide. You get a pretty good look at it, near the end, when Sam Jackson has 'Ringo' sit down at his table. (That's a great scene...)

I did notice that he 'decocks' his 1911 though! Blasphemy! That would make no sense with a Springer 9mm 1911....
