I bonded more with the Glock 30s, vs the 41. The 30s seems almost magical, apart from other Glocks which feel totally soulless to me.
The Ruger Superblackhawk 44 mag is perfect in my opinion also.
I thought you said redhawks revolver were 'soulless'? Now glocks, too?
I do like the 30S.. my favorite 45 carry gun, & is about the minimum for a 45acp. ..maybe not 'optimal', like the OP is calling for, but for carry, shootability, accuracy, & other factors, it is a nice balance.
But i put the redhawk 45acp/45 colt in there too.. about the perfect size, weight, barrel length, & sturdiness to handle anything you can load in those calibers.
I think i'd add the glock 19 as about the most perfect 9mm.
Maybe the 10/22 as the perfect 22 rifle.
38spl? Easy. 4" revolver. A model 10 is the perfect harmony for that caliber.
45acp? Gotta go with John Moses Browning.. he would roll over in his grave if you picked anything but a 1911. but he'd probably carry the g-30s
30-30? Please. That is too easy. m1892.
I guess you could go down the caliber list & pick the perfect gun for each.. that is what the OP is asking, right?
I wouldn't want a 'too light' 12 ga, but ~ 7# for a nice o/u is ok, & 'svelte' works for me in a nice beretta or browning.
For sentimental reasons & aesthetics, i'd pick the k-22 6" masterpiece, but for capacity i'd go with a mk iii 7" auto. Those are both 'perfect' 22 pistols, for me.
