What guns have failed with HP ammo

What is a Hard Ball Hollow Point????
That's what I was trying to figure out...!

When I saw the question I was thinking "fail" like in blow-ups"...

Fail to Feed, different story. As stated, some guns like different bullet designs..... Most all can be adjusted, ramped, or reworked to handle them... Sometimes it's just a magazine issue, others.. a little surgery, but it's minor, and it's doable..

Sure you don't mean Powerball (brand) that has the plastic ball in the point to 'assist' in expansion and guarantee feeding?

otherwise, it's an oxymoron.
It's a design thin, most .32 don't like HP, but that's cause recoil can jump the top round over the semi-rim of the one below it, due to the shorter OAL, a number of gun, like the AMT Hardballer, are know for only shooting FMJ etc.

as for FAIL, never seen a gun blow up with HP, that wouldn't have blown up with ball.

The only store-bought ammo I've had a problem with has been Winchester Ranger Bonded. Not the renamed Talon, the hollow point that is mostly just dished in the front.

It jammed up a friend's Star Model B (a sort of 1911 clone) and my S&W 469, which would otherwise shoot rocks if I could fit them into the magazine.

To be fair, the actual bullets in those things are almost cylindrical, so I'm betting it's the ammo's fault. Just don't buy a box and load up without testing it.

Walther TPH and .22LR Winchester HP. The bullet would get stuck on the feed ramp all of the time.

Remington Golden Bullets work okay, though. They're rounded near the tip.

Unless you're saying that the Golden Bullets are a "hard ball hollow point." Then I guess I haven't answered with anything meaningful :p

I've had my Springfield Armory GI Model 1911 misfeed a Hydra-Shok, too. Just once, though. Not sure if it was a burr on the bullet, or just a random misfeed, but out of 60 I've shot, it misfed once.

My wifes High Standard Trophy absolutely will not feed any lubed lead roundnose or HP, but will feed any copper washed or copper plated hp or roundnose. Definately the ammo.

My RIA GI 1911 will eat hardball ammo all day long, recently tried some Remington Golden Sabers. They would not even load. I tried three different mags, but still a no go.
