Ok so I already have a nice shooting .22, a S&W .357 mag, a Remington 1100 limited edition, a Marlin 30-30, and I just got a Dragunov, so what's next. I'm already wanting another gun but I'm not sure what I want. I've thought about a Beretta m9 or an AR-15 but I really have no idea what I want next, so give me some suggestions and throw some ideas out there for me.

If you got a real dragunov id admire it for a while and then sell it for something better.
but if you got a PSL id shoot the crap out of it and have fun.

But if you are set on something new id get an AR

I've got a Sig 226 in 9mm, a 229 in .40, and a 220..

A HK P2000 in 9, USP in 40, and a HK45...

Glock 17, 19, 21, 22, 26....

XD, M&P, 24/7...

A 1911 and a SP101 just in case.

Almost all the .380's.

And a NAA .22 revolver as a backup for the backup(3 gun min carry).

12g's, AR, AK, .308 Bolt

You could get AR's: .223, .308, 7.62 1 Platform, 3 calibers.

In time you will have them all. Faster if you buy used. Still fast if you get them all from here: http://www.budsgunshop.com/

Only thing I don't have is a trusty 30.06...

rtz, you can't get the AR in those 3 calibers with a single receiver (not thatyour post is incorrect, just FYI to the OP who may not know).

If I had money burning a hole and it had to be another firearm I'd hit the shops hard and find a used centerfire in some caliber new to me to have fun with. My last buy was a duplicate in 30-06 Springfield (back up) and at less than 1/2 the original price it's a great shooter.

Aside from the satisfaction level of taming someone else's reject, I still had money to spare for Christmas gifts (3 kids) and another purchase down the road. Had things not worked out, I figure I'd be out $50-$100 to trade.

Looking at the calendar, if memory serves me, there's a certain GI pistol that turns 100 in 2011...(subtract 100 for model # if you don't know;-). I'd probably be scouting special editions from a short list of makers for something that catches my eye. Of course if it were me, I'd bee looking for 3 to hand down to those kids, another reason to buy only when you know what you really want to spend it on.

Good luck with your decision.

It's kind of a tough question to answer - what do you want to do with it? Something for home defense, something to take to the range, something to tinker with?

But if you're bored and want something to tinker with then I would suggest doing an AR build. That should keep you busy for a little bit, and will only cost as much as you want it to.

Based on what I'm seeing, you've got plinker, revolver, shotgun, semi-auto military-rifle.

I'd go for a semi-auto pistol, or a bolt-action rifle. I'm not a fan of the Dragunov, but if it does it for you, awesome. I'm more of an AR guy, personally.

Just got an AR and I'm loving it. It will keep ya busy for a long time with the many different configurations you can have for it.

Wow lot's of choices and plenty of options. One thing I don't see is an air gun. I think all batteries need at least one Rat Killer. If you really want to get after it, I'd go with a Pre-Charged .22, but some folks like break barrels or pump-ups. Something you can legally shoot in any neighborhood. Something with a good trigger so you can work on your skills w/o having to go to the range or into the hills.

After that, I'd be looking for a .308 bolt gun. It's what's missing in your center fire collection. Could be a Tikka hunter or similar, or some sort of tacticool black rifle with good optics and a really good barrel. Could also be a previously Bubba'd military action that needs to be "kit'd" up to modern specs in .308 or 30-06 :)

Anyway, that what I'd do (am doing) :)
