My fav. CCW

Have a 325PD and love her, will be a keeper for life. SOFT handling and mucho accurate for its intended purposes. IMHO the best of both world!

The most outrageous "thumping" I've experienced with this revolver is Hornady's 300gr. XTP's. You gotta' feel it to believe it. But, the bullets did stay seated in adjacent rounds.

I tried several types of factory ammunition and "double tested" (fire 5, check the 6th round for bullet movement and then do it again with the same round 6th) in my 329 PD including some 300 grainers - no issue.

But it does say to perform their procedure for any round you want to fire in the gun. Check the manual if you get one. Believe they make the same recommendation for the 357 and other varieties.

Re recoil - Pachmyr Decelrators help a lot. Having a proper grip also helps.

(Just took the basic NRA psitol class again, last time was 15 years ago - you be surprised what bad habits creep in over time . . . . )

Have any you guys with the PDs had the taller (compared to the 629 and 625s)front sight limit holster options? A guy that has a 329PD told me he's having a holster custom built because of that . I should have my 329 by the end of the week and am looking at the Bianchi 111 Cyclone, for packing while hunting. Also made the mistake of handling a 325 the other day and I should be pulling it out of layaway :p within a week or two. It'll probably replace my XD40 as my CCW.

No the 625-10 is mostly Stainless. Having a scandium sideplate doesn't really count.

I thought the frame was Al/Sc and the sideplate was stainless? That's how the one on this flyer is, as well as the ones I handled at SHOT...

Beats Me Tamara, the one I handled felt kinda heavy. Not as heavy as my 3" 29 & 629, but it didn't feel like scandal-um to me.
And it sure looked like stainless except for the sideplate which was that gray colour like the 329 cylinder.
It just didn't feel right to me, the balance seemed weird. And I just can't warm up to that "pinched" barrel.
I'll stick to my Lew Horton .44 magnums thank you very much.
